Winter Beauty Essentials

We are in the midst of winter and it's safe to say my skin is feeling it. Winter is the time we all need to up our beauty routines to keep our skin moisturised and if I don't I literally look like a snake trying to shed it's skin and it's not a great look. But anyway, here are my winter beauty essentials to keep the shedding snake look at bay.

Winter Wonder Hand Cream

I am so bad at remembering to use hand cream. I have eczema between my fingers so I should apply it religiously but I could never find one that sinks straight into your hands because I hate that greasy feeling. After Christmas I bought the big Zoella Christmas gift set in the sale and it came with the Winter Wonder Hand Cream which smells amazing and is honestly the least greasy hand cream I've ever used. I also really like the Body Shop hand creams, they smell amazing! So I'm still not great at applying it but maybe mentioning it in this post will remind me to apply it *runs to apply hand cream*

Snow Smooth Body Butter

Again, my eczema always flairs up when the weather gets cold and as the air gets dryer so does my skin. Once again I am actually terrible at moisturising my body and I probably only do it a couple of times a week but it is the key to silky smooth winter skin.

Face masks

Skincare is important all year round but I feel like in the winter is a great time to really pamper your skin and take a long relaxing bath/shower. I love face masks and these packet ones are so affordable but effective so I always have a little stash of these.

Face moisturiser

I switch up my face moisturiser all the time, I have always loved the Olay Beauty Fluid because it is so light and sinks right into the skin. It is really hydrating and just a simple every day moisturiser. I have recently got the Glossier Priming Moisturiser and I am loving that at the moment.

Lip Balm

You will never find me without lip balm in my general area. I have one in every hand bag I use and I just can't be without it. The feeling of dry lips makes me cringe, and cracked, sore lips are just not the one. I absolutely love Glossier Balm Dot Com. I have the unscented and the mint one and I love them both. They are so thick and hydrating without being greasy and they;re the best.
