Snow Queen Glam Halloween Tutorial

Some people just don't like gory Halloween looks or are looking to impress a certain someone at a Halloween party and want to look more pretty and glam than gory and disgusting. I know both of my previous Halloween looks have been gory and scary so here is a nice, pretty, glam Snow Queen inspired look for those of you who don't fancy covering yourself in fake blood this Halloween.

This look was inspired by a picture that Gabriella (@velvetgh0st) put on Instagram. This look is really simple, the only specialised piece of make-up you need is some silver glitter.

I did my usual make-up routine with a slightly lighter foundation and concealer than usual as for some reason I automatically think that a snow queen is pale. I put on some cool toned contour because I wanted this look to be really cool toned and almost grey based. Think muted purples and greys for this whole look.

For the eyes I applied some matte grey eyeshadow all over my lid and in the crease and under my lash line. This just gave a bit of a base for the glitter that I was going to apply.

I used two different glitters for this look. I used a glitter gel and a body glitter from Barry M which they do in loads of different colours. I think this look would be extra special if you mixed blue and silver glitter together!

I applied the glitter gel all over my lid and low down on my inner corners all the way underneath my eyebrow and some in the fronts of my eyebrow. I simply applied the loose glitter on top of this to intensify it further.

I applied a lot of highlighter to the tops of my cheek bones and applied some of the loose glitter on top of this so it was extra shimmery and glam.
I had two different lip choices for this look because I couldn't decide which I liked more. I started out with a pink matte liquid lipstick and a pink gloss over the top. Then I decided to use a deep red matte liquid lipstick.

Which do you prefer?
